We rarely use it because I loathe the greasy aftermath that sits on my counter for a WEEK while I avoid it... but it rained last night just before we were gonna light the grill ...and me likes me some steak!
Gee Amy.... you know your dad hates washing dishes, etc. but this is a no brainer. Take a plastic scouring pad, a little Dawn dishwashing soap and water and scrub the worse off and put it in the dishwasher!
If you do it the same day that you cooked the gunk comes off real easy. Let it dry up and you are in trouble. I love our George!

hence the reason we don't own one. i do have a huge countertop griddle for pancakes, etc, that i ALWAYS put off cleaning...

We can't put ours in the dishwasher. I guess ours is one of the old school ones?
I too have a dirty grill on my countertop!!!
We don't use our GF grill for meat; we use it for grilled cheeze and quesadillas... afterwards they are much easier to clean!
